The Mater Hospital Bundaberg has been caring for the health and well being of local residents since 1946. Since that time it has become renowned for its exceptional level of care, and its determination to remain at the forefront of medical technology.

The 54 bed facility incorporates state-of-the-art technology with specialist nursing staff which ensures that each patient receives, modern, personalised health care. The Mater Bundaberg provides the following services:

The Mater Bundaberg is an acute care hospital with both day surgery and overnight patient accommodation. While still assured of the highest level of health care, the patients stay in hospital is made as brief as possible, allowing them to return to the comfort of their own home.

The Mater Bundaberg, like all Mater Hospitals in the Mercy Health and Aged Care Group is accredited with The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and offers a Pastoral Care service to patients and their families. There is a Chapel on site for prayer and meditation. Hospital chaplains of all denominations visit regularly.
