Eligibility Criteria

Anyone who wishes to remain independent and stay in their home who is 55 years and over or alternatively 45 years and older for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders. (Excludes Veterans as covered under Department of Veteran Affairs).

Doctor or Allied Health Professional referral required.

What we offer

Self Management Courses

Mercy Day Therapy provides Arthritis, Falls Prevention, Osteoporosis Prevention, Diabetic Lifestyle and Self Management Courses. These courses are open to the community. Anyone interested in improving their quality of life through problem solving, exercise and good nutrition are welcome.

Mercy Day Respite Centre Rockhampton

Mercy Day Respite Centre is located at 238 Richardson Road, North Rockhampton. Operating from the refurbished former "Palm Court" reception centre, Mercy Day Respite provides a respite care service for senior citizens which tailors services to individual needs.

Mercy Day Respite Centre clients have access to a range of stimulating activities including:

• Music therapy and related activities
• Musical activities
• Billiards
• Craft
• Morning tea and lunch
• Simple exercise programs
• Concerts

Transport to and from the centre if private transport is unavailable.
